Cooking it ?  It is said you can eat it.

A quick doodle to celebrate my sons fake
Christmas (see his earlier posts )

So deep you could lose your dog

Merry Christmas Glen

Star wars, How we protect our own

When I trimmed the cork screw willow,
I stuck four cuttings in a corner of
the garden, only one has survived
dampening off or the ravenous slugs,
don't like using slug pellets,
so every night before the stars come out
the jar goes on

And I've got a small black plum
growing unexpected from a
discarded stone/pip from last summer

june 21st: fake christmas

circumstances meant that, despite it being our first christmas and new year in our new home, my and my girlfriend weren't actually able to spend much of it together

and when we were together we never found the time to watch the dvd of 'It's a Wonderful Life' that she had borrowed

and when we decided to have the chrsitmas pudding we didn't have the time and patience to steam it, nor did we have a microwave to get the job done quickly

so today we are gonna have a fake christmas, we have both spent around a tenner on small gifts, we now have a microwave and we are gonna order in a very un-festive pizza for our dinner, exchange gifts and finally watch the DVD so we can give it back

i have left this present out for my girlfriend to find when she gets in from work

i wonder if she'll guess what it is?

Two of my Favorite Things, Horseradish and Ladybirds

No not in a sandwich.
*
I just love the smell of a field of horseradish on a
hot summers day when the distinct heady
fragrance lingers in the air , and Ladybirds I think goes
with out saying, its the childhood memories,
of them running about on my hand.
Counting their spots.
Just remembered the rhyme, Ladybird , Ladybird fly a way home
your house is on fire and your children are gone.

Her home town so much to remember

                      Title.    In the twilight

The old lady looks back and remembers those teenage years
of fun and laughter, the hardship, the love and romance.
It makes her think she would like to come back, do it all again some time.

Soft centers

        Art work by Stuart.Byford.

Even people with the coldest stone hearts sometimes have a soft center,
maybe not all as nice an sweet, or soft as this.
