September 28th: chorus

bloody proud to have had a piece of my poetry selected and published in a new project by Saul Williams,a literary mixtape featuring the works of 100 poets used to create 1 unique voice.

my copies turned up this week and it is quite unreal to finally see it in
print.

thank you Saul, you are a true inspiration and it really is an honour.

Byford Family Tree

Can you trace your roots

The Intention was to burn the wood,
this is how it was found cut into three,
in a front garden across town.
Such fine pruning skills of the amateur gardener
must be preserved.

This in not a joke its ART.
Many trees have their lives cut short
in the name of christmas.
not in our house.

The present dead tree has had a life of about six years,
this may replace our first long life dead tree,
or be joined in holy woodlock
Side by side,
As a forest.

Great Expectations

      This will be fun Byford.

Glen making a clock,
Brackets to be fashioned and hands to be found
be for this very grimy sewage manhole cover
goes on the wall.

Purple Ronnie's four lines

Byford' Glass is full of love.

A book given to me by the boys to accompany a pint glass
inscribed with the words.    about the year  2003.

                                                                      Getting pissed

However much booze you've been drinking,
You just want a little bit more,
                                           Your head begins reeling,
                                           You stare at the ceiling,
And then you throw up on the floor.

NOT an accurate description of my drinking,
well yes, the first four lines are about write.

How many years, How many more years of this ?

               Stu's View.                                                                                                                  Byford's Town

Something I created back in 2010
to express my feelings to the dismantling of my countries
Social Services and peoples future security
The ball of destruction is still swinging.

The picture was created in Photopshop using found objects from the streets
two black plastic car radiator grills, a picture frame and a sailing buoy,
also a length of rusty chain from the garden
The background is a view taken by me from
Alexandra Palace
looking east over London.

Can't Read,

My scribbled paper notes are illegible.

As the brain stirs
I wish no its not a wish its just a thought
a ipad may just may get ideas down
on in text, before they get so big
so precise, exact that they never
see the light of day.
