february 27th: a little support for spurs

i am fascinated by this gnome in a spurs shirt that stands atop a shed near Turkey Street, perhaps i shall try and get a better picture of it sometime soon.

i'm not scared of dogs (not anymore, anyway),
but i feel a sudden wave of panic everytime i remember they can smell fear,
and that is what i fear the most.

february 24th: Sunshine in my garden

Dad dropped round, and we spent a bit of time in the garden, shocked that it was a warm and sunny day in february.

Dad pruned, i made tea, we talked, and then we took photos, even Horatio (my skull) joined us outside for a bit of soaking up the rays and to pose a little.

Sorry no that's just one of my silly tales from the river bank. But that's what they looked like I had to look twice
Now that takes me back, Tales of the river bank

Spent two grand on two horses in two hours.

Not a gambler in any part of my life, but to parse the time some times I watch Channel 4 Racing, yesterday after the add for Paddy Power Racing, the one with the teacher and a whip reciting the Paddy Power times table, that's got you thinking, but not about horses I bet, The encouragement was there to think more creatively , about my next piece of art. So it was up the charity shop looking for horses, not much choice but for the total of 40 pence, I got two pathetic looking examples, after handing over two grand coins from my pocket, I walked away like a small kid pleased as punch.
Now I have the track and two horses to train/photo shop.

february 18th: bedside paint mod and bed decoration

i didn't think to take any photos of the bedsides before i 'modded' them, but basically all i have done is gotten a little bit creative and taken a bedside painted white all over and sanded down the handles before giving them a grey undercoat and finishing them with a metallic silver finish

once the handles were all changed i then decided to put to good use the fake ivy leaves that we bought back in september, spreading it across the side of the bedside and winding up the side of the bedframe, and complemented with a rose on the other side of the headboard

Curiosity

A garden gate  left open today revealing the dilapidated remans of a old greenhouse come potting shed , instantly my mind is taken back possibly 50 year to the memory's of watching the secret garden on the television I'm guessing it was 1960 a BBC production  serialised on a sunday  about  5 o’clock. Gardening still all these years on gives me that felling of peace, wonder and  contentment.
