march 29th: face watch, day 1

i've been unshaven for a good little while now, and am considering growing a bushy moustache as part of a fancy dress night out.

of course, before i do this, i thought perhaps i should check the progress of my facial hair to see if it is feasible, or if i should just fake it

I did the art work, and later opened and read Glens Blog, and there was My title, I had been trying so hard to think of. Cranial Cavity

Had to do something with the hook I found  in the road.

march 25th: won't wait

when the pitter patter of the words drip from my
cranial cavity and fuel this familial world view
it is a relief a release of a burden to reach
for my keys and jangle my vowells
obscenely screaming
as my mind careens
around a screen
dizzy and
joyous
as
the fat
burns in
the fire of
creativity
no more do
i find that i have
pockets full of crumpled
papers jumbled verses and a
keepsake tin for storage yes we
are painting the views as we see them
when we see them and my skyline won't wait

Fisherman's friend

Another tail of memories from way way back past the 40 year mark, Sardines on toast, I won't bore you with to many details, I tried pilchards in tomatoes sauce recently, use to like them perhaps I had no choice as a boy. The sardines went down very nice popped under the grill with pepper on, et them today sitting in the garden with the warm sun in my eyes.

long forgotten tea ladies

Influenced by Ian’s Posting earlier today.

My tribute to the memory of the long forgotten tea ladies of the past, Big stainless steel urns, tray of cups all identical on a trolly moving round the factory,
I can still  hear the sound of the chinking cups, smell the tea and most of all remember the lady, I can’t  recall her name  I should she pored the tea with such ease considering her injury in which she lost the lower half of her arm.
These Memory's are from over forty years ago @ Belling & Co Ltd. Enfield.

march 18th: wub be good to me (CD cover)

after thinking that today would be a rather uneventful and unfullfilling day, i actually managed to knuckle down and complete a little mix of dubstep tracks for a friend, and of course, a mix (or any type of musical creation) just wouldn't be complete without a cover.

images found through Google, and text and tweaking of the back cover were done using Photoshop

there was nothing in the air to suggest that today was a brand new day,
the drips from above were unemotional,
and i could find nothing inspirational,
in the sky that was a pale shade of grey.

writing reviews all his life

May be his first review from 18 /20 years ago.

Glen has always supported local good causes and  had the ability to get his thoughts down on paper.
Since his teenage years Glen has followed the  London and more local Enfield music seen.
For a good few years Glen has been reviewing the for mentioned music in the Enfield Advertiser.
Gaining many friends and helping many more start networking and supporting each other. I don't know about you but I remember being young when starting to make my own way and gaining confidence was all helped by local bands and the friends made on nights out.

Enfield's  Artist in all genre need help in keeping the flow of information to and from all corners of Enfield.
This is part of that so called BIG society of  Which we at some time  need help from

march 15th: just thinking

.

it could take a lifetime,
just to fill in the gaps

.

i wrote this with one specific thing in mind, and when i thought about posting it on the blog i was reminded that i also have a few photos that i need to post, and fill in the gaps that i have been living, i then considered how this sentiment could ring true for so many things in my life, and in the lives of others

It Drives You Mad.

In some country's they shoot you for just
Knowing.
Knowing what ?
Can’t tell you

I’m safe I think, if I don’t think
Have you tried not thinking?
They tell me meditation works mmmmmmm
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
mmmmm, for how long?

mmm good for What ?
Stops you drinking
Stops you thinking
Stops  you eating
Stops but never terns off.

My god says
Its good to give
Have you tried giving it away?
they’ve all got their own

Is mine BIGGER don’t know
Can’t tell you
Its their secret until

Is what scientists call the big bang
when our light finally fades ?
Will the pounding stop then ?
will it. ?

march 8th: believing everything i read

.

I can feel them watching,
I need something to protect me,
once my eyes were open wide,
I somehow knew they could detect me

Because it's true,
every last word of it,
they're influencing children,
that haven't even heard of it.

Death in popular culture
and the rise of a force unseen
is now becoming visible
now i've witnessed what it means

In a monastery garden

Inspired by photos from my last walk in to Waltham Abbey. The title comes from a old
12 inch 78 rpm record we had at home 50 years a go.
It was the birds sing that I liked more than the words on the recording

Just found it on you tube would never of thought it sounded like this
after all them years o well it has been 50 years.

march 6th: amidst the madness

i suppose it lacks something of a coherent counterpoint amidst all the madness

because i'll readily admit to being a fan of music that doesn't sound like music

i'll willingly become lost in an ambient atmosphere as an escape

but without a tether to reality, how do we find an alternative

a reflection or a reaction that is needed, to shape the world
(each action has an equal and opposite reaction)

i couldn't abandon myself to noise without a little silence
