march 2nd / 3rd: converse paint mod

last friday i asked for these fake converse back from my brother, i asked him for his help to customise them, but we never got very far, the receipt still tucked inside says that i bought them in February 2009, i didn't realise it had been that long...

so i got to work on them, this is actually the idea i'd had to do with them from the very start, long before i started trailing ivy up my bed and bedside, although i only intended to do the design in black and white before

sadly, my black fabric pen is a little tired so i can't finish all the fine detail right now

february 18th: bedside paint mod and bed decoration

i didn't think to take any photos of the bedsides before i 'modded' them, but basically all i have done is gotten a little bit creative and taken a bedside painted white all over and sanded down the handles before giving them a grey undercoat and finishing them with a metallic silver finish

once the handles were all changed i then decided to put to good use the fake ivy leaves that we bought back in september, spreading it across the side of the bedside and winding up the side of the bedframe, and complemented with a rose on the other side of the headboard

february 4th / 5th: nerf gun maverick paint mod

since this blog is supposed to represent our creative sides, it seemed appropriate to post the progress of the physical creativeness that has gone into transforming my nerf gun

with the help of someone that has had plenty more practise of pulling these things apart than i have, i proceeded to modify my nerf maverick under his watchful guidance

gone is the yellow and orange plastic monstrosity, and in it's place is a battle-worn weapon

it still isn't quite finished and needs a few additions and details to really bring it to life, which i will likely post once it is complete
