23rd February 2015: Positive Attitude.

It is with a positive attitude that I sit and observe the rain pouring down through the window, soaking the washing,

hoping for a return of the sun that seemed so content in the sky not more than five minutes ago.

February 12th 2015: a mess.

i may make a mess of my life
or moan that i
may have not
made enough of life
time and time again

but i revel in the knowledge that i've tried

February 11th 2015: Discontent.

He collected suicides
In a jar of discontent

They all thought him broken
He knew not what they meant

February 9th 2015: full stop.

there is no full stop.

a small dot that signifies the end

this isn't the end

it never is

January 18th 2015: hesitation.

Hesitation.

It haunts me.

Hangs in the air beside me, an apparition that seldom leaves me.

Holds me, holds me back.

I hesitate.

26th July 2014: Yes

Yes
You like to tell the world
You like to tell the world that
The world is wonderful

Giddy praise
And
Boastful ways

Here I am
And
Here I am
And

Don't you wish
You could
Live my
Life

Here
I
Am

Having
Fun

So
Much
Fun

Don't
You
Wish
You
Were
Me

22nd July 2014: future lost

a washing up bowl of murky water,
your numbered days are growing shorter,
senses dulled to the future lost,
for without change you'll pay the cost.

15th July 2014: connecting with nothingness

another half hour spent connecting with nothingness
vapid idling becomes the norm
as we socially destruct

too busy to live
and too connected to try
scrolling into an oblivion
where only our screens are illuminating

10th November 2013: No Connection

you were here but you were never there because you forgot to make a connection you dazzle me with raw talent a light that shines whilst nobody looks because you was never guilty by association and the fanfare was forfeited paying dues to only you and you alone beyond unknown an unturned stone left by those unlooking they never heard you never stirred by you never moved by what moves me it is out there that connection find it and reach for it because it belongs to you seek it and grasp it and cherish it and make it work for you whilst you work at what you do and make that connection squeeze it and grip it and communicate with the world

January 28th 2013: Going Home

Today was the kind of day that I just couldn't wait to walk away from,
Atmosphere hung heavy and the sense of an irrational storm pass overhead,
The clouds had gathered all day,
The vibes had overshadowed in the worst way,
And half five couldn't come soon enough,
The metaphor pours physically as I stand at the bus stop,
Gripping the oyster card in my pocket,
Pressing the fine edge harder into my palm,
The only stress relief will be stepping through the front door,
Kicking off my boots,
And relishing the time off,
The 121 can't come soon enough.

October 20th: my life

I said it would probly be an early nite,
likely leave about 12,
knowing full well that I would be dancing til gone.1

October 11th: The Deadline

the line, it is dead,
i walked up to it,
trampled on it,
and spat upon it,
and still it ruled me

october 8th: Damien: The Omen II

i appreciate honesty
which is why i have
the utmost respect
for the makers of
The Omen 2
because there is a
documentary
in the special features
where they pretty much admit
that the film was shit

September 28th: chorus

bloody proud to have had a piece of my poetry selected and published in a new project by Saul Williams,a literary mixtape featuring the works of 100 poets used to create 1 unique voice.

my copies turned up this week and it is quite unreal to finally see it in
print.

thank you Saul, you are a true inspiration and it really is an honour.

May 3rd: Job Centre

i sit and wait to be called to a desk
i sit and wait
the room is lifeless
as souls are sucked out of their hosts
abandon hope all ye that enter here

January 23rd: cursed

I'm a fool, cursing myself for doing nothing,
instead of just doing something.
