oh, now that's not a very easy one is it, sounds a bit too pretentious

that's fine, i'm sure i can pull off pretentious..

so here's my pretentious self-portrait, demonstrating a sense of style that my girlfriend isn't always the biggest fan of

may 15th: keeping things simple

as monday 14th rolls round into tuesday 15th, my brain was not ready to turn off

i was restless, not knowing what to do with myself, but wanting to do something

i flicked through social networks and blogs with little satisfaction, and i eventually went to bed with the latest issue of The Fly to read about Grimes (even though it is hard to read about a creative when you want to be creative)

but before all that, i did open up an app on my gizmo and drew a simple self-portrait

movember 1st: face watch, day 1

similar in them to the previous face watch, and resultant burgundy watch in april, i am again documenting the growth of my facial hair, and this time, doing it for charideeee

on the morning of november 1st, i shaved to the best of my abilities and shall be growing a moustache over the course of the month now dubbed Movember

the evening of day 1 shows a little bit of stubble already, and i hope donations will be forthcoming once i have a little more to show for it on my upper lip

unlike the previous face watch, i do intend to make the new batch of self portraits a little more interesting than their predecessors

my faced itched too much to stick it out for a whole month of growing, but here at last is my attempt at a Ron Burgundy style moustache, ready for tonight's Anchorman screening

ok, it hasn't been a week since i started growing the facial hair, it has actually been a week since i started taking pictures of it.

so that there is a weeks worth of growth since march 29th aka facewatch, day 1
(and i also seem to have lost weight since then)

i've been unshaven for a good little while now, and am considering growing a bushy moustache as part of a fancy dress night out.

of course, before i do this, i thought perhaps i should check the progress of my facial hair to see if it is feasible, or if i should just fake it

january 24: bulb self portrait

 

 

i had been running a bath when i noticed the blue light of my ipod dock reflecting in the discarded bulb that has been lying around on the kitchen work-top, so i grabbed my camera to get a picture, and it wasn't until after that i noticed my own reflection.

 

yes, i am naked.

 

no, you can't see anything.

like much of my day-to-day life, this photo lacks the focus that it really needed
